DRAYCOTT LANDS, RICHARDS SIGNS, PAJIC DEPARTS PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 10 March 2006

Chaplin Reserve has been a hive of transfer activity over the past couple of days seeing two new arrivals and the departure of an established squad member.

Defender Zoran Pajic has lost his passion for the game at Premier League level making his intentions clear to coach Chris Taylor after the last round against the Melbourne Knights. Pajic has indicated he may continue his career in the lower divisions. We wish Zoran all the best.
Fidel Richards, an attacking midfielder, has joined the club from Heidelberg Utd after spending last season with Richmond. Richards trained with the team last night and should be in contention for selection in the squad.
Fellow Englishman Mark Draycott flew in from England this morning. Draycott who is a 21 year old 6ft 2in mobile striker has played Second Division soccer in the U.S and represented the Republic of Ireland as an Under 15 international, served his footballing apprenticeship with Swindon Town. He currently holds the record for the most goals scored in one season in the English FA Youth Cup a record he took over from none other than Michael Owen. Draycott's International clearance should come through in time for this weekends match.

We welcome both new signings on board.
