The FFV have announced a restructure of the Victorian Premier League for 2007. The league has been expanded to 16 teams with the promoted sides from Division 1, Springvale White Eagles and Western Suburbs and the introduction of the AIS. The Essendon Royals have had their status as a VPL team reinstated after they were last week relegated for fielding an ineligible player. As a result Frankston Pines were the only side to be relegated from the VPL.
