The Georgies took on newly prompted side Box Hill in Round 1 of the regular
season at Chaplin Reserve on Sunday.

The game started at a frantic pace with both sides taking their time to settle
and both sides turning the ball over on numerous occassions early on.  Box Hill
started to get the upper hand mid way through the first half and tested
Georgies Goal Keeper Robert Santilli on several occasions who was equal to the
 task denying the opposition the opening goal.  The Georgies were very limited
to their opportunties on goal in the first half and lack cohesion in their overall play. 
Box Hill's persistence payed off when their player was allowed to turn the Georgies
defence inside out and tucked the ball away at close range to make the
score 1 - 0 to Box Hill in the first half.

The Seniors and 21's Shirt Presentation was held on Saturday night with a great
show of support for all our Reserve and Senior players. 

The club would like to thank all those who attended a great evening.

The Under 8's team Coached by Michael Calandrella proudly took to the park at the half time game between Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory.  The team had an enjoyable evening providing the half time entertainment at AAMI Park and did the club proud.

The Monday night clinic will not run on Easter Monday and will return on Monday the 8th of April at it's new time of 6.00pm till 7.15pm.  Sessions will continue at Brookside Recreation Reserve till the 26th of August 2013.

The Monday Night Clinic for the 22nd of April will run from 6.30pm - 7.45pm all other Mondays will run as per normal times from 6.00pm - 7.15pm.
