Announcement : Vaughan Coveny

Dear Members

Vaughan Coveny has brought a level of professionalism to the development of players and coaching at George Cross FC. He has successfully implemented the
national curriculum that has spanned over the past 2-3 years and has been an inspiration to many of our youth in the capacity of Technical Director.

We are writing to inform, that Vaughan Coveny has been appointed Head coach of the Melbourne Victory NPL u/20s side.

Melbourne Victory is supportive of Vaughan assisting George Cross FC with the transition of Technical Director to a new candidate. The appointment of a new Technical Director is in progress and we shall provide an update as soon as possible. The role of TD is critical to our club and we are determined to uphold and strengthen our youth development strategy.

We have appointed Con Karagiannidis to assume the position of coach of the u/15s. We are confident in Cons coaching ability and that he is the right man for
the job.

Promising future ahead despite Mondays result .

tony ciantar

Another disappointing result that really doesn't reflect the way we out played Kingston in last nights clash that resulted in a 2-1 defeat. Everything was going as planed as we pressed high up the pitch which didn't allow Kingston to play out from the back and forced them into long ball clearances and turning over the ball time and time again. It was the pressing that lead to the first goal of the game for George Cross that was neatly tucked away by Anthony Cassar.

Message from Technical Director. 04/05/2015

Covs
The 2015 NPL season has seen some great achievements fromSunshine George Cross Football Club in terms of our Youth Development Plan that has been in place since the start of the National Premier League in February 2014.

As for our history we will always remember and appreciatethe contributions past committee members, supporters, volunteers, and players have done for the club but our future is important if the club wishes to move forward.
