Sunshine George Cross followers were stunned this week with the news that one of the club's favourite players Dusko Delic, has parted company with the club and joined Westgate.
Delic came to S.G.C. in 2004 from Whittlesea and played 96 games, scoring 8 goals for the club. He had been hampered of late with injuries that have kept him sidelined for a long time. This season Delic has started most games on the substitute bench. 'Dooley', as he had become well known endeared himself with every supporter of the club and it is with deep regret to see him leave. On leaving 'Dooley' wished the club all the best and said he would miss his favourite fans and his adopted father club President Charles Borg. All at Sunshine George Cross wish Dusko Delic all the best at his new club. |
