Another of the club's prodigal sons has returned home to Sunshine George Cross with the signing of Trent Waterson after one season at South Melbourne. Trent was last at S.G.C. in 2010, but only made a very brief appearances in the opening five games of the season, before succumbing to a serious groin injury. His transfer to Premier League club South Melbourne saw Waterson take part in most matches, but a change of coach there meant a change of player personal. Trent Waterson was given his first break in senior football when he transferred from Green Gully to Sunshine George Cross in 2004 when the team won promotion to the V.P.L. The former Bendigo youngster has played 79 games for the Georgies and has managed 7 goals to date. Let's wish Trent a happy third home coming and hope by the end of this season Trent Waterson will reach a century of games for the Cross. He becomes the club's 5th signing for the season as the Georgies continue to built a squad capable of challenging for promotion. GOALKEEPER MARTIN JOHN (BELOW) HARD AT WORK ON FRIDAY NIGHT.
