Sunshine George Cross

The Monday night clinic will not run on Easter Monday and will return on Monday the 8th of April at it's new time of 6.00pm till 7.15pm.  Sessions will continue at Brookside Recreation Reserve till the 26th of August 2013.

The Monday Night Clinic for the 22nd of April will run from 6.30pm - 7.45pm all other Mondays will run as per normal times from 6.00pm - 7.15pm.

State Knockout Cup Round 3

In a much anticipated fixture the two Division 1 clubs meet in the State Knockout Cup Round 3.  The Georgies at home faced an experienced St Albans outfit, with the squad settle for the Georgies it was pleasing to see all the pre-season hard work coming together.

With a well taken free kick from new recruit Brodie Paterson the Georgies took an early lead and maintained a large portion of possession in the first half to go into the break with a 1-0 lead.  The Georgies continued to press in the second half and found a second goal through inform Striker Bozidar Lojanica a please performance and result overall.  Final score Sunshine George Cross 2  - 0 St Albans.

The Georgies will meet Altona Magic in the 4th Round on the 4th May 2013 playing away at Paisley Park, Kick off 2.00pm.

Practice Match v's Clifton Hill

The Georgies faced Clifton HIll on Monday night in a practice match.  Coach Tony Ciantar had an opportunity to start tweaking a few things as we draw closer to Round 1 of the regular season.

Clifton Hill got onto the score sheet early however the experienced Georgie boys stepped it up a gear and ended up winning 5-1.

The next pratice match will be played on Thursday 28th March at home against Fawkner Kick off @ 6.15pm.

The Seniors will advance to the fourth round of the Mens State Knockout Cup 2013  after defeating St Albans Saints 2 - 0.  The fourth round was drawn yesterday and Sunshine George Cross will meet Altona Magic on the 4th of May 2013 at Paisley Park, Kick off 2 o'clock.
