Under 20's Kick Off Time for Home Games 12.30pm

The FFV has granted the clubs request for all Under 20's home games to be played at 12.30pm commencing this Saturday 10th of May v's North Geelong Warriors.

The Seniors will follow with time unchanged for 3.00pm Kick Off.

LATE PENALTY SEALS WIN FOR GEORGE CROSS


 

This was a pulsating game from start to finish, with both teams playing some great football. Our boys settled into the game nicely and were looking dangerous going forward using both wings and putting pressure on RICHMONDS

Defence. our first chance fell to ADRIAN LOGOZZO who pounced on a poorly controlled pass from Richmond LOGOZZO,  unselfishly cut the ball back to DELFIN MOSIBE who couldn’t finish. Not long after our boy’s were on the score sheet through EDDIE CETKIN who rose high above the Richmond defence from a corner and nodded the ball down and off the post into the net.

Anderson Road Closure

Anderson Road, Sunshine will be temporarily closed between Foundry Road and Ridley Street from 8:00 pm Friday 18 April until early on Monday 12 May 2014.

Anderson Road will be closed from Foundry Road to Ridley Street. There will be no vehicle or pedestrian access across the rail line. Local access will still be available.

Southbound traffic will be detoured via Harvester Road to Devonshire Road to Withers Street, and across the rail line at Hampshire Road rail overpass. From there traffic can use Sun Crescent to access Forrest Street, Fraser Street, or Durham Road to access Anderson Road or Glengala Road.

Traffic heading north will be directed along Durham Road to Hampshire Road to Withers Street to Devonshire Road and to Harvester Road. Traffic can rejoin Anderson Road at Foundry Road.

Anderson Road will also be closed northbound between Sun Crescent and Durham Road, Ridley Street and Forest Street. Traffic from Rosdale Place will be able to only turn right into Anderson Road

Late Goal Downs George Cross

George Cross left heartbroken after succumbing to a late goal St Albans 1-0 win at Chaplin Reserve on Saturday afternnon.

In A tight game which saw both Goal Keepers regularly called into action, it was Ajak Panek who struck the decisive blow when he capitalised on a George Cross mistake to score the winning goal.
