UNDER 21: Our young looking under 21 team did well against N.T.C. on Wednesday night before goinf down gallantly 2-1. Most of the players who took part in this game consisted from Sam Borg's under 18 side and it is a credit to these youngsters for the effort they put up in a match coach Joe Sweeney described as 'a good game of football'. SENIORS: In a fast and open match Sunshine George Cross had to settle for a 1-1 draw with N.T.C. after conceding a penalty goal 5 minutes from full time. Daniel Sweeney gave the Georgies an early lead, but some wayward shooting prevented our young team from wrapping up the win. Ben Cogger, Luke Grounds and George Papadopoulos were the senior players included from the senior team with the rest comprising from the under 21 team.
