djordje aleksicDjordje Aleksic grew up playing junior football with Sunshine Heights, Hoppers Crossing and Keillor Park and also had a brief stint at Sunshine George Cross juniors. Djordje got his break-through at senior level Werribee City and playing against men at both N.P.L. and NPL2 level was a good learning experience for the youngster. He joined local club Westgate where he enjoyed his football and liked being part of a tight knit community. It was at Westgate where Djordje rediscovered his passion for the game and he hasn’t looked back.

The talented striker scored 9 goals in 15 matches last season and is looking forward to reaching double figures for the first time at senior level. This will be welcome news for Georgie fans who haven’t seen one of their players reach 10 goals since 2003.

Though the 20 year-old youngster was settled at our near neighbour he figured the time was right to step up to a higher level and decided to come to the Georgie’s. This will be a challenge he is looking forward eagerly, because his main ambition in the game is to play at the highest level possible and to score plenty of goals.

Djordje has the right attitude and this was confirmed when he said: “I am willing push himself as hard as possible to achieve my ambition”. We welcome Djordje Aleksic and wish him a great time at George Cross.aleksic
