The 20 year old Tasmanian star has established a reputation as a goalscoring midfielder over the past four seasons in the Tasmanian NPL. For someone so young, Kobe has already played over 50 senior NPL games, has a Tasmanian League championship medal, a Tasmanian FFA Cup winner's medal, a final's series winner and helped his club through to the round of 32 in the FFA Cup.

Kobe started playing football when he was 7 and instantly fell in love with the game. Kobe's hero as a youngster was Liverpool great Steven Gerard who as Kobe said; "He has been my biggest inspiration growing up and I always aimed to mold my game and attitude around him. Playing in midfield has always been my favoured position, as I enjoy being involved in as much of the play as possible. I love having to defend as well as setting up the play and chip in with a goal or two".

Kobe spent four years in the Tasmanian NTC and also represented Tasmania at the national championships twice, working with some amazing coaches and staff along the way. For the last four years he has been playing with South Hobart where he establishing himself in the first team.

The youngster feels now is the right time for a new challenge and I look to further my career and help George Cross push for a title challenge next season. He is really excited about his new challenge in what will surely be a very tough league. He said; "I am Looking forward to joining this historical club in Australian football, working with the playing group and coaches to make 2019 a success”. 

Coach Corey Smith said; "Kobe was a main target for us from the moment I took the coaching role and we welcome him to the club. We look forward to helping him progress his career further as moving to Victoria is a big step for young players from interstate. It’s an exciting opportunity for Kobe to showcase his talents on a bigger stage. Kobe dominated the Tasmanian league and we can’t wait for him to add his dominance to George Cross”.
